Tire gauges and Republican snarkiness
The McSame camp really screwed the pooch on this one. Slamming a suggestion that our own Department of Energy (and NASCAR, and AAA) says could save 3% of the gas we burn? Beyond just the smug pettiness of the attack, this turd will not flush with common sense Americans, who will take less than five seconds to say, "..no wait, the tire pressure and tune-up thing, that really does help - it's a fact."
Makes you wonder who really is out of touch..

"The One"
Have you seen this McCain ad? Please, be our guest:
Apparently the McCain camp is trying to paint Senator Obama as an egotistical self-described Messiah. Problem is, they come off looking like bitter high school kids who are just learning about sarcasm (and how to use Final Cut). The other problem is, most of the ad makes Obama look pretty good..appearing genuinely positive..surrounded by upbeat supporters..suggesting that America can solve the world's problems, regain the moral high ground, etc.
The attempt at a stinger comes at the end, where the ad questions if Obama is "ready to lead?" Well, let's see..he lead the Harvard Law Review...passed on a cushy career to lead some pretty good programs in south Chicago...helped lead the battle to secure loose nukes with Republican Chuck Hagel..had the balls to stand up against the Iraq mistake from the get go..yep, smells like leadership from here.
In all fairness, Obama hasn't been in congress since 1983, his daddy wasn't a navy admiral, nor has he voted with George Bush over 90% of the time. So if that's your leadership yardstick, he might not be your guy.
If this is the best the McSame camp can do, well gosh golly my friends, we might just end up with a president who can help restore our leadership in the world and get us off this miserable path set by the (thankfully) outgoing administration.
